More About Randy Newton Certified Valuation Analyst
The tax code was written by attorneys for attorneys, certainly not for the average business owner to easily understand. Without a solid working knowledge of the Code, it is nearly impossible for the owner to effectively navigate the pitfalls of it– or to fully take advantage of the opportunities therein. My job in partnering with business owners is to interpret the Code most fully to their advantage.
I specialize in partnering with small to mid-sized businesses to provide accounting and tax planning services, ranging from basic bookkeeping all the way to a-day-a-week on-site “Virtual CFO” services, and everything in-between. I use a proactive tax planning model that streamlines, simplifies and works to reduce tax liability, and I am constantly looking for ways to save clients additional tax dollars, while educating them about the ever-changing tax codes.
My extensive background as a CFO and business owner myself, leadership experience and licensing/training as a Certified Valuation Analyst provide a robust value-add proposition to small to mid-sized business owners, with a focus on tax minimization and planning strategies.
I was born in Charlotte, NC, raised nearby on Lake Norman, and graduated with an accounting degree from Appalachian State University. I became a North Carolina CPA in 1998 and started my own firm that same year, in a side porch office at my home with 6 original clients.
I currently live in Tega Cay, SC with my wife Ann and son Chandler. During my free time, I enjoy hiking and mountain biking. I also volunteer frequently at my church, Myers Park Presbyterian Church in Charlotte, as well as for other churches and charities.
